This means they have done at least 1000 workouts with at TCSC Kamloops (for some, it doesn’t even include dates where “checking in” wasn’t enforced and before we had our gym software keeping track!). WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE "BENCHMARK" WORKOUT?
I don't really do many of these, but I guess it's Bear Complex - 5 rounds of 7 unbroken reps 1 power clean, 1 front squat, 1 push press, 1 back squat, 1 push press for max load (so you can increase your weight each round but you must hang onto the bar through the entire round) this is all barbell work.
HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT DOING 1000+ WORKOUTS WITH US?
I feel good about this.
WHAT DRIVES YOU TO KEEP COMING BACK?
I have been an athlete all my life and I love coming to the gym, I use exercise as a way to regulate my mental health and maintain old physical injuries, so it is very important to me to move my body every day. I am motivated by personal improvement so every time I get a lifting PR, learn a new skill or overcome a previous limitation it makes me hungry for more.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT TCSC?
I love the wide variety of classes and workouts offered because I hate programming my own workouts and I get bored easily. I love the fact that there are so many workouts every day that even with shift work I can still come to the gym almost every day if I want to. And I really love the people. They inspire me, they push me, they teach me and they are some of the nicest most welcoming people I know.
