Kent discovered CrossFit in the summer of 2008 and at the time it revolutionized the way he approached his off-season training. Kent's appetite to find the "truth" in strength & conditioning fuels his own training and has enhanced his ability to deliver a results-driven program to athletes and clients that he works with. Originally from Lethbridge AB, Kent played a number of sports growing up with his favorites being basketball, football and swimming. He eventually specialized in swimming and swam varsity at the University of Alberta while studying in the faculty of Physical Education & Recreation.
During his time in Lethbridge, Edmonton, Toronto and now Kamloops, Kent has had the opportunity to work with hundreds of athletes/clients including people that started a brand new fitness journey, competitive athletes, fitness junkies and an Olympian.
Kent got an early start on a coaching career at the age of 15. Coaching on a pool deck or in a fitness facility has been a big part of his life ever since. Kent thrives on building sincere 1:1 coach-athlete relationships. He believes that a strong and trusting personal connection is the most important tool a coach can have.
Kent took ownership of TCSC/NSCF in January 2018. As owner, Kent is on a mission to deliver the best group fitness experience that Kamloops has ever seen.
